The inspiration for the design of this tea set has been based on the traditional Chinese concept of Wu Xing, or the five elements, of gold, wood, water, fire and earth, coupled with what is advocated by a seal used by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty inscribed with four Chinese characters pronounced as wan fang an he, meaning savoring peace, the allusion being that when you are savoring tea, you cherish the great longing for world peace and harmony.
